This spectacular HARDIN came from Boone Co Missouri and is of the long stem variety of Hardins. The material is a wonderful piece of Burlington chert with numerous raised mineral deposits throughout the point. The flaking and edge work on this artifact are excellent! It has the traditional basal and haft grinding these are know for. Hardin points are Early Archaic in age, ranging form 7,000 to 10,000 years old! This Hardin will come with a Roy Motley / John Leithoff Certificate of Authenticity upon purchase. It is a classic mid-Missouri example and one of the more collectible types in the Midwestern United States! A true centerpiece for an Early Archaic frame! It was a tough decision to sell this one indeed!
