Personal Finds
This group of items are personal finds that I have collected throughout the years. Only one of the two shells you see pictured is a personal find. The other shell was found in the same area as mine. I purchased it from a friend of the finder and framed them together. Most of the finds you see pictured came from Missouri. Some were creek finds, some were found field walking, and others were dug on my site. Several of my finds were dug with permission on private land.
St Louis Co Missouri
This Platform Pipe was a gravel bar find and is one of my favorite personally found artifacts.
I found this stuff on a small property I owned in Jefferson Co Missouri over the course of about three years. There are three other frames from this site.
This Celt was a personal find in Lincoln Co Missouri.
This Etley came from Lincoln Co Missouri.
I found this Agate Basin in Lincoln Co Mo. It was my first and only whole personal found Agate Basin.
The Hopewell point came from Lincoln Co Missouri.
I found this 14 inch Spade just below the plow line in Grand Tower Illinois in 2010.
This Apple Creek came from House Springs Missouri.
Found on my property along the Big River.
These were found on the Menz site when it was leveled for farming between 2008 and 2009.
This is a grouping of some of my favorite personal finds. There are few great ones missing; I will post a more complete rendition soon, including the other pieces.
I found this on the Menz site when it was leveled for farming between 2008 and 2009. It appears to be a Copena point. This is normally a Tennessee / Kentucky type. Very odd to find one in Missouri, but sure enough we did.
I dug this on a bluff top on a friends farm in Lincoln Co Missouri.
This Etley was found with a probe rod on July 4th, 2009 in St. Charles Co Missouri.
