This pretty WOODLAND KNIFE came from the Bruce Filbrandt Collection and shows nice use with excellent patination. It is made from a beautiful colorful material. It has nice edge work and a good form overall. A great looking knife like this one is a great choice for any Midwestern collection or any Woodland collection. This is an authentic / ancient native used artifact as are all of our inventory. COLLECTION HISTORY
Bruce Filbrandt was a well respected member of the artifact community, having been apart of numerous artifact societies and even hosting the Starved Rock Show in LaSalle, Illinois. He was well known for his hardstone collection, even writing the book Keokuk Axes with many of his personal axes photographed and sketched for the publication. Bruce sadly passed away June 22, 2025 and his collection was sold. Jeff Hipskind was kind enough to sell us this relic and the  entire color frame from Bruce's collection. We will be working on a tribute page for Bruce and is fabulous collection in the coming weeks with the help of Jeff Hipskind. We hope to preserve the history of these relics digitally as we do with many of our collection acquisitions.
