This SEDALIA was found near Stockton Lake in Polk Co Missouri. It was part of many collections, including the Jerimiah Johnson Collection, the Dr. Adam Gray Collection, and the Tony Grigg Collection. This Sedalia comes with three Certificates of Authenticity: one from Ken Partain, another from Carlos Black(Cypress Valley Antiquities), and the last from Roy Motley / John Leithoff. The material is a creamy high quality piece of Burlington chert. Sedalia points are Late Archaic in age, ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 years old. As Ken notes on his COA, these lanceolates are believed to have evolved from the Nebo Hill point. This relic itself is a well crafted example and with the history and COAs I have no doubt it will make a great choice for the lanceolate or Missouri frame.
