This SCALLORN came from Washington and shows nice use with great patination. It is made from a beautiful white translucent chert. Scallorn points are Late Woodland to Mississippian in age, ranging from 500 to 1,300 years old. A nice translucent bird point like this one will look great with others of its type.
 
COLLECTION HISTORY
 
I bought these points from the finders family. They were all collected in the 1940s or before. They were catalogued in 1957 by the original collectors family. Then they were put in storage until last year. At this point, the family contacted me to arrange the sale of the group. This group had some great pieces, including artifacts from seven different states and a few Canadian pieces. The entire collection will be pictured in our Web Museum (The Authentic Arrowhead Store) Collection section. These will be pictured here for the foreseeable future in order to preserve the history of the collection.
