This fantastic COBBS KNIFE came from Boone Co Missouri and is a truly well crafted relic! It is made from a nice glossy heavily patinated Burlington chert that is beautifully flaked with no stacking. It also shows a nice resharpening bevel. Cobbs knives are Early to Middle Archaic in age, ranging from 5,000 to 8,500 years old!  This is a nice large undamaged example and is a very collectable piece indeed. These are very sought after relics and this one is exceptional! In fact, it is so nice that it has been added to our website's Web Museum on the Early Archaic page!
