This really nice AGATE BASIN was found in Callaway Co Missouri and is obviously authentic. It shows nice use and great patination. It is made from a beautiful semi translucent material that I believe to be Avon chert. It is very thin and has great flaking. There is no modern damage. This is a well crafted Agate Basin point and it will make an excellent addition to any authentic collection. This point was nice enough to be put in our Web Museum to be displayed for the foreseeable future. It is an excellent example of the type and is over 9,350 years old. Another point that is nicer than the pictures would make you believe!
