This fantastic ADENA DICKSON came from the Bruce Filbrandt Collection. It shows nice use with excellent patination. The base on this relic is cortex (meaning it still has the outer layer of the rock this arrowhead was made from), and shows nice edge work overall. Adena Dickson points are Woodland in age, ranging from 1,500 to 3,000 years old. A interesting relic like this one with its collection history is a must have for any authentic collection. The last picture shows the group as a whole. Keep in mind when buying you will only be getting the point pictured on its own. We took the group photo as a means to save the collection history.COLLECTION HISTORY
Bruce Filbrandt was a well respected member of the artifact community, having been apart of numerous artifact societies and even hosting the Starved Rock Show in LaSalle, Illinois. He was well known for his hardstone collection, even writing the book Keokuk Axes with many of his personal axes photographed and sketched for the publication. Bruce sadly passed away June 22, 2025 and his collection was sold. Jeff Hipskind was kind enough to sell us this relic and the entire color frame from Bruce's collection. We will be working on a tribute page for Bruce and is fabulous collection in the coming weeks with the help of Jeff Hipskind. We hope to preserve the history of these relics digitally as we do with many of our collection acquisitions. You will be able to find it in our Artifact Museum-Private Collections section of our website The Authentic Arrowhead Store.
