This wonderful GORGET came from Central Illinois and is an obviously authentic relic. It shows nice use and great patination. It is made from a beautiful material. It has two anciently cane-drilled holes near the center of the artifact. It has excellent overall polish and no modern damage. The suspension holes show the correct type of wear for this type of artifact. There are numerous raised mineral deposits encrustations all over the piece. There are remnants of a rectangular sticker that helped demonstrate the age of this piece. There is no modern reworking of any kind. This is a fantastic Gorget and no doubt a must have for any authentic collection.
