This is a killer DECATUR from Fulton Co Illinois that was part of the Oran Kramer Collection. Decatur points are Early Archaic in age, making this 8,000 to 9,500 years old! This one is obviously authentic and shows nice use with excellent patination in the form of raised mineral deposits. It is made from a beautiful local material. It has fantastic serrated edge work and the classic intentionally fractured base. There is no modern damage. This is a very fine Decatur point that will definitely make an awesome addition to any authentic collection. In fact, this point is picture in our Web Museum on our Early Archaic page.
